Beschreibung der Stelle: European Test Services (ETS) B.V. – an AIRBUS and IABG joint venture – serves as the driving force behind the operations and maintenance of the prestigious European Space Agency (ESA) test centre, located in the Netherlands. ETS is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Technical Manager, dedicated to overseeing the maintenance and testing operations of the mechanical facilities. As a key member of our team, the Technical Manager will report directly to the ETS Managing Director, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of mechanical tasks and contributing to the overall success of our company.
Tätigkeit:
  • Manage and plan maintenance and operations in alignment with technical, financial, and contractual agreements
  • Lead the mechanical team, overseeing both permanent and temporary personnel. Coordinate and implement mechanical tests, maintenance activities, training programs, and personnel qualification
  • Evaluate facility performance and team operations to identify and propose improvements related to safety, efficiency, and overall performance
  • Represent and promote the mechanical test facilities to both the European Space Agency (ESA) and test customers
  • Provide technical and financial inputs for the preparation of proposals, ensuring alignment with project requirements
  • Interface with maintenance and calibration sub-contractors as well as suppliers to facilitate smooth operations
  • Act as a test responsible or support the Test Program Manager in addressing technical matters related to mechanical testing
Voraussetzungen:
  • A university degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical Engineering
  • Several years of relevant experience in the field of mechanical testing of space Hardware
  • A very good knowledge of vibration and acoustic facilities utilized in the mechanical testing of spacecraft components, subsystems, or systems
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing resources, ensuring a motivated and high-performing mechanical team
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
Ziele: Assure that the mechanical test facilities are maintained and calibrated as required.
Assure that the mechanical team is qualified as required.
Assure that all maintenance, calibration, and test tasks including proposal preparation are planned and performed as required and coordinate the required resources accordingly.
Assure operational efficiency by adequately planning and allocating team tasks.
Assure swift and effective trouble shooting by leading NC investigations and task forces.
